The four-star hotel in Bavaria is one of the southernmost Pfronten Familotels in Germany - and it's the newest: It scores points for its renovation in summer 2011 with completely new ways to vacation, relax and hold successful conferences. Along with the complete renovation of rooms and suites, modern functionality with spacious and cozy living, is also more versatililty, but especially, it has become more livable and lovable.
There are many reasons to make Bavaria in Pfronten your second home. Three are immediately apparent at first glance:

Your hosts Larissa Kaltenbrunner and Günter Rehfeld wish all travelers, from summer visitors to business and conference guests, a warm welcome. So that adults and young alike feel at home in the 2 building complexes, they combine the generous hotel world of different interests. What is special about the largest hotel in Pfronten? Here it is full of life, with children's laughter echoing through the hallways and stairwells!
The Bavaria residential and leisure worlds combines a panoramic terrace with a view towards Pfronten and famous peaks such as the Zugspitze and Aggenstein. The terrace in fine weather, three restaurants and a bar with a cozy fireplace corner, small alcoves for dinner for two, and long tables for social gatherings for families, pamper body and soul with the world of Bavarian cuisine. Pleasurable dining is particularly important to Günter Rehfeld; seven-time world champion and five-time European champion in large-caliber rifle shooting, because accuracy in any situation is the most important discipline. Therefore, he has engaged Horst Becker, the former chef from the Füssen Festspielhaus, so that everyone may enjoy "royal cuisine".
With the KönigsCard he managed another triumph. The KönigsCard spoils every Bavarian guest with 180 tantalizing experiences of nature, culture, sport and leisure in the Ostallgäu region and vital land, the Ammergau Alps and the natural park region of Reutte. So let's go have some fun for free between the mountains and lakes, swimming pools, museums and cultural institutions. Curious about the trump card that you will soon have in hand? THE KINGS' WILD WAYS …
While summer visitors and holiday makers were enthusiastically on the island of Sylt, on Lake Maggiore or other places with natural wonders; Allgäu was still in a deep slumber. It was said that 150 years ago, in the valleys between the Zugspitze and the Tyrolean border crossings, a trip in Allgäu was most cumbersome and difficult, and because of its uncertain outcome travelers were advised to write a will; because you never knew how the ride or hike would end...
Nevertheless, the Bavarian King Ludwig II (1845-1886) built "the most beautiful castle in the world" exactly there in Allgäu. Neuschwanstein has been visited by millions of people. And there are alwys more and more. Even those whose hearts have been captured by the palace at Linderhof, are still willing to make the four hour pilgrimage to admire the King’s House on Schachen.
Had the art-loving monarch not have died 125 years ago; a death that remains an eternal mystery; he would also have built another royal house across from the panoramic terrace of the Hotel Bavaria, the Castle Falkenstein. Ludwig had planned it, but he had no more time to build it. Nonetheless, the hotel bears the name Bavaria in honor of the Bavarian kings and devotion to the fairy king - for he who follows the king's wild way will land directly at Hotel Bavaria in the wild-romantic kings’ corner ..
In the border area between Pfronten in Allgäu and Tannheimer valley in Tyrol, Hotel Bavaria plays a truly royal role. This is the interface of the favorite trails of the king. The trails can be biked or hiked and, among other things, includes Bleckenau hut, built by Ludwig's father, and a part of the road named after him, Maximilians’ Way. A hike into the Tyrol Rhine valley commemorates Ludwigs’ mother, Marie Louis of Bavaria, who roamed the Ammergau Alps as a passionate mountaineer. There are well marked pleasant walks around Neuschwanstein Castle, or you can take the more demanding tour to the Säuling summit. One thing is certain: family holidays at the Hotel Bavaria can not be long enough as there is simply too much to experience and enjoy.
Your hosts Larissa Kaltenbrunner and Günter Rehfeld with their dedicated team wish you mountains of joy!
