Am Rennsteig

Your holiday and hiking domicile "Rennsteig" is impressively situated 600 m above sea level at the point where the Thuringian and Franken forests meet. In the middle of the countryside, peaceful and quiet and only 4 km from the famous Rennsteig alpine hiking trail, it is just a few minutes` walk to the town centre, town park, open-air swimming pool and ski lifts.

We will spoil you with Thuringian and international specialitis, and we make sure that our buffets and menus of choice contain dishes that are also suitable for children. The hotel contains: the "bei Neubecks" restaurant, the "Primavera" pizzeria, terace, beer garden, two bowling alleys, coffee house corner, cocktail bar, disco and dancing. Your children are at the centre of everything we do.

The area is the centre of the German toy industry, and as such has been of special interest to children many years. It is the ideal place for adventurous families.

Trips along the "Deutsche Spielzeugstrasse", the "toy street", with its toy museums, avenue, and the beer and castle routes, are exciting for children of all ages. There are also horse-drawn coach rides through the Saalburg enchanted forest, displays at the Heinrichshütte foundry and trips to Europe´s biggest steam engine - both of which are in Wurzbach; boat trips on the reservoirs, visits to the fairy grottoes, karting and pony rides. Ski trekking and cross-country ski trails, and the ski lifts (depending on the weather) are only 500 m away.
