The following ideal figures give the Zillertal its excellent reputation: 153 mountain railways whisk you off into a skier's winter dream: 500 kilometres of downhill runs – a different one every day, many of them 100 percent guaranteed to be snow-covered – wind their way down into the valley and into the spring. Isn't that a wonderful prospect? But in this fantastic ski resort, winter fairytales can also come true away from the downhill pistes. Countless cross-country runs, for instance, attract snowboarders and "classic" skiers alike. And there's tobogganing, ice skating, horse-drawn sleds, snow-shoe walking – in fact, the sky's almost the limit, and everything's fun! Yep, winter is a glorious time – especially when you're having so much fun! The children's activities are fresh, frivolous and funny. For instance, the Fun Cellar is an ever-changing source of delight, with everything kids need to give their parents that extra dose of holiday relaxation, from a kids' disco to great computer games. But Super Mario is just one of the personalities we lay on for our younger guests. There's also Bobo the ski school penguin (see previous page) and of course a snowman behind the house, whom kids can give a carrot nose. And those are just some of the reasons there's never a dull moment.
