Spa- & Familien-Resort Krone Hotel information

The jewel in the crown of all holiday destinations: the Familotel Krone.

Holiday like a king. Things that sound exclusive are actually quite common at the Familotel Krone. As well as the picturesque view, you and your family will be able to enjoy our native hospitality and incomparable Allgäu charm. Allgäu cuisine is also unmistakable. In the Heuwirt, local produce is made into real culinary treats. You’ll also enjoy the panoramic water park with whirlpool and 3 splash pools, our own riding school with 3 riding instructors, the ski, snowboard & children’s ski school and the natural tobogganing track and cross-country ski runs right next to the hotel. Best of all: you can experience all that yourself. So: come home to us, or „Kommt hoim zu eis“ as we say — at the Familienhotel Krone.

Majestic location.

The Familotel in Unterjoch is located in Oberallgäu. Or more precisely, in the small ski and alpine village of Unterjoch in the beautiful tourist region of Bad Hindelang. A local, charming alpine village idyll, between lush meadows and native forests directly on the border to Austria and away from all traffic. And you will notice this with every breath you take. It’s with good reason that Bad Hindelang has been classified as a high-altitude health resort with an air grade of 1 — which is particularly beneficial to people suffering with allergies and asthma. The healthy healing and bracing climate is free from house dust and low in pollen. But rich in pure air with an air grade of 1.

Speaking of rich: outpatient health and spa treatments are subsidised by all German health insurance funds. That takes the pressure off your holiday budget. So you can take what you save and spend a day by Lake Constance, in neighbouring Tyrol — or the royal palaces. A highlight is a visit to the ski jump in Oberstdorf. By the way: the region of Unterjoch/Oberjoch is among the most snow-sure regions in Germany. Modern lights, railways and snow cannons guarantee environmentally-friendly ski tourism.

Have a kingly time.

At the Familienhotel in Allgäu, variety is a top priority. Unterjoch also offers families a substantial choice. From hiking, mountains, cycling and mountain biking through to horse riding in the nearby surroundings. And there’s even more to offer. In a circumference of just 35 km, you will find lakes, mountain railways, summer tobogganing tracks, adventure parks, castles, fortresses, churches and museums. And if that isn’t enough for you, then you’re bound to enjoy ballooning, hang-gliding, water skiing, sailing, surfing, climbing and golf.

Of course, the winter is characterised by alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and snowboarding. For beginners, there is even a ski, snowboard & children’s ski school. A particular highlight is the 600 metre long natural tobogganing track directly next to the Familienhotel in Unterjoch.

After the piste is before the feel-good factor: recover in our 400 square metre water park with separate children’s bathing area. Or relax in the over 250 square metre beauty and spa oasis with specialists in massage & cosmetics, with its generous sauna complex, romantic steam grotto, biosauna and Finnish sauna. You will also find a fitness room and a bike hire centre.

A royal pleasure.

Following the motto, „Something good from the mountain, fresh on the table“, the sophisticated kitchen at the Familienhotel in Unterjoch leaves nothing to be desired in terms of culinary delights. Enjoy lots of specialities from the local region, homemade cakes and traditional snacks. The extensive breakfast buffet sets you up well for the day. In the evenings, a four-course gourmet menu rounds the day off perfectly. Your children can choose an evening meal of their choice. And if healthy, low-fat, allergen-free or gluten-free food is important to you then you’re in good hands here.

So there’s just one question to clarify here really: when are you coming home — to the Familotel Krone?
