Bathing, dredging and building sandcastles – children love being on the beach. Thanks to the clear and flat sloping beach section, you can keep an eye on your children at all times from your sun lounger. Enjoy the sun's rays as your little pirates bury treasures, collect shells or fly kites.
Then head into the sea together to cool down. The water is very calm over the 20 metres to the low stone reef, guaranteeing a perfect beach holiday with children. If your children cannot swim yet, La Baia also offers swimming courses in the sea. Your little water babies learn to swim in a playful way.
Day trip tips
Familotel La Baia in Diano Marina is the ideal starting point for excursions across Liguria. Whether it's along the coast, inland or to France – many excursion destinations can be reached in only a few minutes by car.
Tip 1: Whale watching
Whales in Italy? There certainly are. The Ligurian Sea was the first whale sanctuary in the world and is very popular with whales. With a little bit of luck you can watch fin whales, sperm whales, Risso's dolphins, pilot whales, bottlenose dolphins, striped dolphins and European dolphins with your children from the boat.
Tip 2: Water fun park
The "Parco acquatico Le Caravelle" water fun park is just about 20 km away from the family hotel and guarantees brilliant water fun with various swimming pools, water slides and a wave pool. The park will make your children beam with delight!
Tip 3: Cervo
Old brickwork, narrow alleys and colourful houses – this is how you imagine a typical Italian small town. And that's exactly what you find in Cervo. This small car-free town is just a few kilometres from La Baia and is well worth a visit. Stroll with your children through the alleys and enjoy the medieval town's Italian charm.
