The Post – Family Resort isn’t the only paradise for all sporty guests, but the direct surroundings are too, as they invite you to take part in numerous activities. On the hotel grounds, for example, you can swim, ride, play minigolf and ice skate with the whole family, or play ball games such as football, handball, volleyball and street soccer.
For adults, the large fitness and gymnastics room is available where you can really let loose in different sport courses or on the many pieces of equipment all day long. Each day, there is an extra kiddy-fit programme for children.
Close to the hotel, there are also common walks, climbing and bouldering trips and cycling tours, and in winter, family-friendly ski resorts and snow-covered hills invite you to go on snow boot hikes, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, skiing and snowboarding.
Water Fun
The family-friendly Post – Family Resort has a few things to offer for water lovers. In the hotel’s own family-friendly thermal baths with outdoor thermal pool, in the indoor swimming pool with children paddling pools, in Mogli’s baby pool, in the fully biological natural lake and on the 80-metre-long water chute, fun and enjoyment are guaranteed. Your children can also visit the hotel's own swimming school.
That beach feeling is also possible in Salzburger Land! At the lake, there is a baby beach with fine river sand and an extra area for children, and in summer the beach bar is open. Here, you can spend beautiful hours in the torchlight listening to live music.

Tip 1 – Family Hikes in Saalachtal and Berchtesgadener Land
Whether you would prefer a short hike or something a bit longer: In the mountains around the Post – Family Resort, there are just as many 40 minute walking tours with minimal climbs as there are hikes lasting three hours at almost 1,000 elevation gain. From above, you have a wonderful view of the beautiful surroundings and can enjoy what the nature has to offer.
Tip 2 – Visit the Adventure Park
The Pillerseetal and Ruhpolding both have two large adventure parks which offer many attractions. While Familienland Pillersee offers a lot of fun with rollercoaster, pirate swing, aeroplane carousel and jugglers’ bridge, the Ruhpolding adventure park will enchant you with its fairytale forest, chute paradise and crystal mine.
Tip 3 – Salzburg Zoo
If you don’t just want to visit the hotel’s own petting zoo, it’s also worth a day trip to Salzburg Zoo. Over 14 hectares of land, the zoo is home to a total of 140 animal species from all over the world.
