There is a lot for children to discover at the Bella Vista family hotel. Whether it's in the huge outdoor play area with playground, petting zoo, the "Kinderalm" and Indian tipi or on family hikes across the national park. Numerous experiences await you here all year round.
With 40 hours of childcare per week, the Familotel offers additional variety for your offspring.
Your children will beam as exciting adventures await the whole family on your family holiday at the Bella Vista. There is a huge outdoor play area around the hotel, which will inspire you and your children. From the playground, Indian tipi, petting garden, witch's house and Kinderalm, children will find everything their heart desires here. Excursions to the "Kuntnerhof" farm are particularly popular as children can experience farm life up close here.
And if the weather doesn't play ball, there's also an indoor playroom with plenty of daylight, a large selection of games and books for the whole family.
On the 4,000-square-metre playground there are swings, see-saws, a climbing tower and two slides to discover. Who will bake the best sand cake in the sand pit with water fountain?
The so-called "Trafoi-Canyon" is located directly next to the Bella Vista family hotel. If the water level is not high, dams are built and driftwood is used for playing here. What an outdoor adventure!
Play lake with raft
Your kids won't want to ever leave the 80-cm deep play lake with spring water in summer. While the parents relax on wellness loungers on the jetty, children can splash around and play pirates on the raft.
In the two-storey "Kinderalm" play barn your children can play, romp, jump and do handicrafts as part of the childcare. One real highlight is the slide from the 2nd floor directly into the hay!
Your children will feel at home in the Happy Club right from the start. Whether it's excursions, discovery tours or playing and making things together, your children will experience plenty of variety 40 hours a week here. And while our qualified child minders take care of your children, you will also have time for yourself.
Indian adventures as part of the childcare
Once a week it's Indian Day at the Bella Vista. Your children play Indians around the tipi tent, make headdresses, practice archery and perform a rehearsed Indian dance around the campfire in the evening. Delicious stick bread baking is of course a must.
As a holiday region, South Tyrol is very varied in terms of recreational activities. All kinds of athletes and pleasure-seekers get their money's worth here. The Bella Vista family hotel is located in the middle of the Stelvio National Park and therefore offers an impressive landscape all around, which you can explore together with your children.
As a special highlight, all guests at the Familotel Bella Vista automatically receive the VinschgauCard during their stay. With this card you benefit from many discounts on regional cable cars, museums and recreational attractions. With the VinschgauCard you can also use the Vinschgau Railway and other public transport free of charge! Making exploring the region even more fun.
- Hiking: Discover nature with your children while hiking. Simply borrow hiking poles, child carriers and a map from the hotel and explore the wonderful landscape around the hotel. Several hiking tours in different levels of difficulty start directly at the hotel, there is something for everyone! Or how about a guided hike?
- Mountain biking: As a premium partner of the “Bikeschule Südtirol” the Familotel Bella Vista has many advantages to offer. For example, there are 12 guided mountain bike tours per week in all levels of difficulty. There are also exciting events for children and youngsters every Wednesday. One highlight of the holiday week is the family bike tour on Friday.
- Rafting: All water sports enthusiasts get their money's worth on the Adige river. Whether it's rafting, Canadian, kayaking, hydrospeed or canoeing, there's something for everyone here.
- Winter sports: The Trafoi ski area is situated right in front of the Bella Vista family hotel and is ideal for families with 20 kilometres of slopes. For children there is even a small nursery slope with beginners lift by the hotel. The Sulden ski resort is also not far away from the hotel. From skiing, snowboarding, ski touring, snowshoeing to ice climbing, there is nothing left to be desired here. And the best thing is, you can even ski in the largest summer ski resort, Stelvio Pass, in the summer.
Tip 1: Stelvio National Park – National Park House
It is definitely worth visiting the naturatrafoi national park house in Trafoi. Here you get exciting insights into the Ortler Group's geology, the native animals and plants. There is even an exciting nature workshop for children.
Tip 2: Churburg Castle in Schluderns
Travel back to Renaissance times with your children and explore the Churburg, one of the best preserved castles in South Tyrol. The armoury with over 50 complete sets of knight's armour is particularly interesting.
Tip 3: Lake Reschen
A church tower sticking out of the water? It actually exists, in Graun. After the construction of a dam wall, part of the village was submerged in water in 1950. Numerous legends and tales surround this event. Now the church tower adorns numerous postcards. The boat trips on the lake are particularly popular with families.
