There is more than one good reason for a family holiday in South Tyrol: Not only is there outstanding skiing, walking and hiking opportunities, you can also visit a farm with your family — and recharge your batteries. For example, in the sauna complex or the spa and fitness area of the Familienhotel in Vals. With a range of exciting activities, such as the Cowboys and Indians party, a forest picnic, the children’s show in Hubi’s children’s world and the youth theatre, our little guests do not miss out either.
So you won’t just find the Familotel in South Tyrol good from the very beginning — you will also find it easily: because is it situated in Vals, directly at the entrance to the Puster Valley, at 1,350 metres above sea level. And it is exactly this unique location that promises fabulous excursions into the Alpine region of Gitschberg-Jochtal. And you can use this to your best advantage: in the summer, you can start your bike ride or Nordic walking trip into the mountains from the Familotel Huber. In the winter months, the hotel is the direct starting point for ski fun on the pistes of Gitschberg-Jochtal.
And there’s even more: Situated directly on the ski piste, you can not only enjoy a car-free holiday as a guest of the Familotel Huber in the winter, there are also 44 km of ski pistes and 17 lifts. If you want, your children can be picked up by the ski instructor. Simply take your really little ones to the ski nursery at the Bambino Club of the Kinderhotel in Vals!
There is even a playroom for teenagers. With Playstation II, Wii console, music system with iPod connection and T-Wall board. Our well-trained and experienced childcare providers will take care of your babies and children. A theatre with cinema screen, a sauna complex, indoor pool and beauty department round off the services provided by the Familienhotel Huber. And if you would prefer to be out in nature, then the nature detective camp is the right thing for you.

Indulgence is a must at the Familotel Huber. And you can simply help yourself to the selection. The outstanding, creative South Tyrolean cuisine combined with sophisticated Mediterranean meals will impress everyone. With his team, junior and kitchen chef Simon will treat the tastebuds of both young and old guests to new delights again and again. A healthy and balanced diet is always our priority. This is one of the reasons that we focus on using regional products from monitored agriculture, organic produce and local herbs at the Familotel Huber.
The day starts with a hearty breakfast buffet that leaves nothing to be desired. Neither does the lunchtime buffet with its daily-changing starters. In the evening you can enjoy a 5-course meal with a choice of three main meals. There is naturally a separate children’s menu for the kids. By the way: the non-alcoholic drinks from the buffet are all-inclusive. What more do you want?!
