Galtenberg Family & Wellness Resort Childcare and activities

Recreational fun on a family holiday in Tyrol

Be captivated by the stunning surroundings and variety of recreational activities at the Galtenberg Family & Wellness Resort. You can find everything on offer here for a perfect family holiday. From action and adventure to rest and relaxation, there is something for everyone – see for yourself!

Baby and children’s clubs

Attentive and professionally qualified child carers are happy to look after your babies and children from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and offer a special, age-appropriate programme every day. Each day has a different motto, for example rainbows, magic, fairy tales, music, animals, forest, etc.

There is a separate cosy and crawling area, baby bedroom, lots of toys and comprehensive baby equipment available in the baby club flooded with daylight (0 to 3 years old) so your little darlings want for nothing on their baby holiday in Tyrol.

For young children (3 to 6 years old) there’s a separate creative area and workshop in the children’s club for crafts, modelling, painting and playing. Baking, dancing, magic and face painting are just as popular. The children’s show in the Galtiplexx, the children’s disco, fashion show and children’s cinema, is a real hit.

Many of the activities take place outdoors in the summer. Children’s faces light up with pony riding, milking the cows, treasure hunts, the Olympic flame or outings to the magical forest and Lauserland. There are ski lessons and children’s skiing races in the winter.

Children aged between 7 and 11 can take part, for example, in various ball games, action games and sliding competitions or pony riding as part of the children’s programme.

Teen activities

There are various tournaments, outdoor games, barbecuing and video filming on the programme for teenagers (aged 12 or older), which also leaves enough time to just chill and relax in the separate teenagers’ room. Kindred spirits are quickly found and friendships are made over football, table tennis, billiards, archery and swimming.

Children’s water world

The pools at the Galtenberg Family & Wellness Resort family hotel are filled with crystal clear, outstanding water. The baby pool has a comfortable temperature of 34 degrees Celsius. Little water babies and mermaids really get their money’s worth at the water park with several slides, a water games wall, mushroom water fountains, cascades, circle cannons and tipping barrel.

Children’s farm and pony ranch

Dwarf goats, rabbits, chickens and lots of small animals live at the petting zoo and are already looking forward to the children visiting. The ponies Leo and Moritz are at home on the pony ranch and can be ridden every day at the hotel’s own riding arena or at the external Hauserwirt riding stables. Horse-drawn carriage rides are also possible from the children’s hotel in Tyrol.

There’s always loads happening on the hotel’s own playgrounds. All children can run riot and play to their heart’s content on the climbing frames, sand pit, bouncy castles, slides, trampolines, carousel and lots of great play equipment.

E-trial park

The 2,500-square-metre e-trial park is a special highlight at the family-friendly Galtenberg Family & Wellness Resort hotel. Children and adults can complete laps and exciting courses on e-trial bikes, Segways and e-bikes here.

Driving a Tesla

If you have always wanted to drive a Tesla, you have a unique opportunity to do so on your family holiday in Tyrol. There are various Tesla models available, which you can hire for a fee. Speed up the road and across Tyrol’s Alpbachtal.

Sport activities

You have the chance to attend a fitness club and work out using the ultramodern Technogym equipment at the family hotel. There are countless appealing sports activities outside the hotel like hiking, climbing, walking, cycling, mountain biking and e-biking, fishing, golf, tennis, skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, cross-country skiing, skating and much more.

Prams, buggies and back carriers can be borrowed free of charge at the hotel so there’s nothing standing in the way of your active holiday with the whole family.

Sauna complex and wellness activities

The wellness area has several heated indoor and outdoor pools, a baby paddling pool and water park as well as a large sauna complex. You can relax wonderfully here in the infrared cabin, bio sauna, Finnish sauna and on the heated bench, as well as in the salt water steam bath, laconium/tepidarium and in the chill-out room.

There are various massages, treatments and special baths on offer for children and adults.

Skiing and tobogganing

You can throw yourself into snowy white adventures with your children in winter and enjoy skiing, tobogganing, snowboarding, skating or hiking. Age-appropriate skiing lessons are on offer for children and speedy snow bob rallies are held on Mounty Hill. The Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau ski area has 145 kilometres of slopes and 45 lifts accessible from the hotel.
